I was delighted to hear they would continue to carry the torch for this special school. My children and I had a wonderful experience in our time there. The lead teachers foster a fantastic environment - an intuitive, hands-on learning atmosphere that helps the kids develop independence and problem solving. This place is always clean, organized and teachers are incredible! My daughter was happy. She loved the art class and the public speaking training. Kids and parents bond great in her class. We loved the family atmosphere and felt sad to leave the school because she reached school age. I sent my son there for preschool and I wished I had sent him even earlier. It's a great school with loving teachers. The layout is super cute. The families are very kind to newcomers. The school leads are very easy going and kind. It's well organized. I saw a big change in my son. He really enjoyed learning and could sit down and do longer tasks on his own. This has been a wonderful school with an enriching environment for our children and many of our friends. The leadership is excellent and responsible. The teachers are warm and outstanding with the kids. The little extra programs (art, music, yoga, spanish, educational visitors such as fire dept, dentist, farmer) are a thoughtful edition to the already strong Montessori curriculum. Children can start as young as 2 years old in the little/toddler room and go up through kindergarten. Full day and half day options available. A Montessori education serves the children well, no matter what they move onto in the future. They just turned 3 a week ago. They love going to school everyday and are excited when they see their school. From the owners to the teachers to the students, the atmosphere is inviting. Everyone is very friendly. I love that this is a smaller school. Ratio of teacher to student is exactly what i want. My boys learn daily. I like that my boys have the ability to learn at their own pace which actually encourages them to learn more. Versus the standard structured school environment. My kids are smart, witty and well behaved and DHMS continues to encourage their development in all manners. Definitely a place i would refer to other parents.Load more
